Frequently Asked Questions

Does choosing hospice care mean giving up hope?

Instead of focusing only on a cure, we help patients and families find hope in comfort, dignity, meaningful time together, and peace. Our team works together to ensure care is centered on what matters most to our patients and their loved ones.

Will hospice care take away my independence?

Hospice care gives you more support to live life on your terms. We provide care wherever you call home, whether that’s a private residence, assisted living, or memory care. You remain in control of decisions, while we provide guidance, and comfort.

Does hospice only provide care for the patient?

At Tribute Hospice, we support loved ones with counseling, chaplain services, and community resources. We also continue to walk alongside families with bereavement support for spouses and family members.

Is hospice only for people who are in their final days?

Many patients benefit from hospice for months, not just days. At Tribute Hospice, we encourage families to reach out earlier rather than later. By starting hospice care sooner, patients have more time to experience comfort, support, and improved quality of life.

Will hospice stop my medications or treatments?

Not necessarily. Our goal is to manage symptoms and keep patients as comfortable and active as possible. We work with each patient and family to decide what medications and treatments are important.
